The study program Economics of Business Bachelor’s degree) provides training capable of:
- Create and ensure the effective operation of own business;
- Comprehensively assess the state of business processes in enterprises and justify decisions to optimize them;
- Work in any position related to the analysis of economic indicators, its planning and organization;
- Creatively assess the economic situation of the business entity and develop measures to improve it;
- Develop business plans to attract investment in the implementation of business ideas.
Bachelors in Economics of Business are fully qualified socially responsible professionals who possess all-round basic professional knowledge and skills in their field including leadership, moral, cooperative and teamwork skills, corresponding to the demands of the modern labour market, in order to ensure the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises in the national and global markets.
The mission of the study programme Economics of Business (Bachelor’s degree) is to train highly qualified professionals in economics who have modern economic thinking, theoretical knowledge and applied skills, able to solve complex research, innovation and management problems and problems of economic systems on different levels, in particular business structures characterized by uncertainty of conditions and requirements.
We incorporate European approaches and quality standards of higher education. It was the first and the only study programme Economics of Business (Bachelor’s degree) in Ukraine which was accredited at the international level by ZEvA agency, Hannover (Germany). ZEvA’s experts have recognized its compliance with European standards and the Bologna requirements.

Results of mastery of the study programme: acquisition of basic knowledge of fundamental and applied courses/disciplines necessary for competence of bachelors in economics in business in domestic and foreign markets
Professional knowledge and skills obtained as a result of completing the programme.
On successful completion of the programme a student should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- content and basic provisions of humanitarian and natural disciplines to the extent required to master general professional economic courses and use their methods in their chosen profession;
- fundamental principles of economic theory including microeconomics and macroeconomics;
- general characteristics of functioning of enterprises and management of organisations in contemporary market economy under the conditions of globalisation;
- theoretical and methodological basics of enterprise economics, category mechanism of enterprise economics and modern tendencies in this field of knowledge;
- theoretical basics of organisation and conducting of enterprise economics research;
- construction planning system, career management system, pricing.
- econometric and statistical methods of analysis and data modelling to demonstrate economic processes and tendencies;
- basics of organisation of activity at enterprises, essence of strategic planning, tasks of management control and auditing.

Programme requirements (ECTS credits).
In accordance with the Standard on higher education set for the programme “Bachelor in Economics”, 240 ECTS credits are awarded in total. The curriculum of the study programme Economics of Business (Bachelor’s degree) incorporates: mandatory courses (151 ECTS credits), elective courses (65 ECTS credits). Practical training which includes internship – 16.5 ECTS credits. Bachelor’s thesis (7.5 ECTS credits)*.

Educational goals of the Programme
During the training, the applicant receives advanced and systematic knowledge in the field of effective organization of business processes based on knowledge of modern management concepts and its main components. Acquiring the skills of a project approach will allow you to successfully run your own business and lead certain business areas of enterprises.

The programme’s educational goals are designed to:
- associate yourself as a member of civil society, the scientific community, recognize the rule of law, in particular in professional activities, understand and be able to enjoy their rights and freedoms, show respect for the rights and freedoms of others, including members of the team;
- reproduce moral, cultural, scientific values, to increase the achievements of society in the socio-economic sphere, to promote a healthy lifestyle;
- know and use economic terminology, explain the basic concepts of micro- and macroeconomics;
- understand the principles of economics, features of economic systems;
- apply analytical and methodological tools to substantiate proposals and make management decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and public authorities);
- use professional reasoning to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to professionals and non-specialists in the field of economic activity;
- explain the models of socio-economic phenomena in terms of fundamental principles and knowledge based on an understanding of the main directions of development of economics;
- apply appropriate economic and mathematical methods and models to solve economic problems;
- understand the main features of the modern world and national economy, institutional structure, areas of social, economic and foreign economic policy of the state;
- analyse the functioning and development of economic entities, to determine the functional areas, to calculate the relevant indicators that characterize the effectiveness of their activities;
- be able to analyse the processes of state and market regulation of socio-economic and labour relations;
- apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and meaningfully interpret the results;
